Are you looking for a rental property? We do not give legal advice, but just as general information, if this is your first time to rent, or your first time renting in Arizona, here are some basics that you should know:

How Is Your Credit?
By law, everyone is entitled to one free copy of their credit report annually. Check yours for errors and contact the agency to correct them. Have some minor unpaid bill from years ago? Agree to pay it if the creditor will agree to get it off your credit report. Have something worth an explanation? Discuss it with the landlord or leasing agent before you fill out an application. Most people will appreciate your honesty, and worst case, it may save you from wasting the application fee. You may offer to pay some additional security deposits, or worst case, you may have to get a co-signer -- but that person will have to agree to have a credit report run as well, and he or she will become legally responsible for rent payments and any damages.
